By using PrivaShred you agree to these terms.

Shredding is permanent

Files destroyed by PrivaShred cannot be recovered by you, by us or by anyone else. Double-check before you confirm.

Lawful use only

Use PrivaShred only on devices and data you own or are authorised to manage. Do not use it to destroy evidence you are legally required to keep, to harass anyone, or to break any law.

Messenger rules

Only send messages and files you have the right to share. Do not use Messenger for illegal content, threats, harassment, spam or material that exploits children. Contacts can only message you after you add their invite code, and deleting a contact blocks them immediately. To report abuse, email support@privashred.com.au. Because messages are end-to-end encrypted we cannot read them, but we can disable a relay mailbox that is used for abuse.

Self-destruct limits

Timers, view limits and hidden messages are enforced by PrivaShred on both phones. Nothing can stop someone photographing a screen with another device, so only send what you would trust the recipient with.

Limits of flash storage

PrivaShred overwrites data through the Android file system. Storage controllers use wear-levelling and may keep stale copies in remapped blocks that no app can reach. Android’s file-based encryption protects those blocks. PrivaShred does not claim to erase them physically.

Checks are informational

Security checks and the spyware audit are informational and are not a guarantee that a phone is free of compromise.

Certificates

Wipe certificates record operations performed on your device. They are not a third-party laboratory certification.

Subscriptions

PrivaShred Pro renews automatically through Google Play until you cancel. Cancel any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

No warranty, to the extent permitted by law

PrivaShred is provided “as is”. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
